Going on walkabout.

Arthur Upfield was an Australian writer of detective fiction popular in my household long ago. His hero was an aborigine named Napolean Bonaparte, who often mused about his kin going on walkabout (just disappearing for awhile) and how inconvenient that was for their employers. Not having an employer any longer, I am going on walkabout without inconveniencing anyone.

Seattle to begin the adventure tomorrow.

Stay tuned.

  1. Woo!! First!!

We'll be walking about with you as you go! In spirit, anyway... Two kids and two jobs would make us a little more "delinquent aborigine," a little less "retired."

    Go Penny!

  2. Welcome to the blogosphere, Penny! Can't wait to hear about your adventures out west. We went to Seattle 4 years ago for our 5th wedding anniversary/celebration of me getting my masters and Ben getting his PhD. Such a fun trip. Seems like a whole lifetime ago though, as it was pre-kids, pre-Elon, and pre-PhD for me. Drink lots of coffee for us!
